Wobble

Last year, we initiated a research on Speed Wobble in order to bring some rationnal explanation to this complicated and dangerous phenomenon. After trying different approaches, mathematical, experimental,...we got the support of Simpack, a company dedicated to Multi Body System analyse like trains, planes,...Thanks to Francois B., Simpack manager, and his crew for all their job!

Here are the videos output from their software  and the document making the comparison between a regular skateboard and a Flexboardz.
Don't be surprized to see the Flexboardz wobbling : as the rider is represented by a Mass rigidely linked to the deck (you can see a cube at the end of the video), any board will experiment wobbling under these conditions. To be realistic, some dampening should be added.

As everybody expected, the Flexboardz is more stable....and we will have more explanations about it soon !
