Luderitz Oct 28 : Rob Douglas is the new Outright record holder with 55.64 knts (103.6 km/h) in 45 knts of wind.Following a new improvement of the run (a retaining wall after the finish of the run to keep the water in at low tide), the performance have been really impressive (see the full report on Luderitz website )

On October 5th, in Namibia, Luderitz Speed Challenge 2010 opened for a month.

This year, the run has been modified  to improve the performance. You will see on the video below a kitecam view showing the run set up : from this point of view, the run seems really narrow (+- 3 m) without freewater downwind in case of crash ! in fact it looks like a trench !! I hope that the video has been recorded at very low tide...otherwise, it seems a bit extrem !

On our side, we are strongly supporting our friends GENETRIX, Martial Camblong and Seb Cattelan who broke the 50 knts barrier for the first time ever last year ! (and, sadly, only kept the record for a day)...we wish them all the best !

Strong wind (40 to 45 knts) are forecasted for Friday...

The link between Contemporary Art and Flexboardz is not obvious...Priscillia Monge and "Les Nuits Blanches 2010" provided a wonderful and unique opportunity to talk about it !

Quik Pro 2010 began this week end in Hossegor...at the same time, a very long swell(18 sec / 8ft) was coming in ! but saturday, onshore wind wasted the surf !

However, on Sunday morning, it was still plenty of energy at "Les Culs Nus" Beach as you can see on this video of Adam Melling !
